Under executive orders from Governor Dunleavy, all businesses reopening in Alaska must adhere to the state's Reopening Alaska Plan. The plan is currently in Phase 3/4. In Alaska's COVID requirements, businesses to develop a COVID preparedness plan based on industry-specific requirements, assign a plan administrator to execute and monitor the plan, and distribute it to all workers.
The COVID preparedness plans must entail worker protocols such as health screenings, stay home and return to work procedures, social distancing, workplace cleaning and more. Fines for not complying with the COVID requirements for a business's industry can result in fines up to $1,000 per violation and/or required to cease operations.
