Under executive orders from Governor Walz, all businesses reopening in Minnesota must adhere to the state's Stay Safe Plan. The plan requires businesses to develop a COVID preparedness plan based on industry-specific requirements, assign a plan administrator to execute and monitor the plan, and distribute it to all workers.
The COVID preparedness plans must entail worker protocols such as health screenings, stay home and return to work procedures, worker hygiene, social distancing, workplace cleaning and ventilation changes, and more. Fines for not complying with the COVID requirements for a business's industry can result in fines of up to $25,000 and jail time.
Opus has developed COVID training programs that comply with both Minnesota COVID requirements and OSHA safety guidelines. Opus's text-based training is accessible to your employees and enables you to promote a safe workplace for your staff and customers.
Minnesota's COVID requirements and guidelines vary by industry. The following protocols are required for all food services and essential services workers.
