Under executive orders from Governor Gary Herbert, all businesses reopening in Utah must adhere to the Utah Leads Together recovery plan. In high transmission counties gatherings are limited to 10 people, and masks are required in all public spaces. There are three transmission levels: high, moderate and low. High transmission counties include, Salt Lake, Utah, Cache, Garfield, Juab, and Wasatch.
Under the plan, COVID test results or a doctor's note is not required in order for employees to qualify for paid sick leave. Other guidelines include symptom checks prior to business interactions, staggered shifts and adjusting operations to allow for 6 feet of social distancing.
