Job Description:

The Opus product team faces many unique and exciting challenges. We prioritize speed and accessibility above all, and solve problems for users at every role within our customers, from the CEO down to a teenager starting their first summer job. Our product includes many interesting components including a real-time collaborative content builder and a mobile app that maintains a 4.9 star rating.

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer who will play a key role in the end-to-end design process, from ideation to implementation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intuitive, user-centric solutions that drive real business outcomes for our customers. Expect to work closely with our lead designer, Chief Technology Officer, engineering, and product marketing. Your expertise in visual design, user experience, and prototyping will directly impact our product's evolution and our customer's success.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of new features and updates across the entire product lifecycle.
  • Conduct user research and usability studies to gather insights that inform design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Work closely with engineers, product managers, and product marketing in order to ensure designs are effective and feasible
  • Advocate for design best practices and ensure a consistent user experience across all product touchpoints.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience shipping software to users
  • Strong visual design abilities with experience in both desktop and mobile
  • Experience presenting work to a broader product team and other leaders
  • Interaction design skills that define how an experience should work based off of understanding and empathizing with users
  • Experience in prototyping and demonstrating how flows and interactions will work
  • Experience leading product direction and strategic thinking while developing product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to users and the company
