đŸŒ» New in Opus

August brought a few big updates to how teams build, verify, and reinforce standards in Opus. Here’s what’s new:

🎯 Just Launched: Audits

Audits in Opus measure every location against the same standard, save your team time, and let auditors back findings with proof. Each issue becomes a follow-up Task with a clear owner and a due date, tracked through to completion directly in the app.

📋 Task Lists Are Now Checklists

We’ve renamed "Task Lists" to "Checklists" to create a clearer distinction between Checklists and follow-up Tasks. Checklists help teams stay on top of recurring work, while follow-up Tasks make it easy to assign and track something that needs attention.

📊 Reporting Now Splits “Overdue” from “Incomplete”

Past Due is now broken out in Reporting, so your team can tell assignments that are actually late from assignments that simply aren't due yet. Reporting > Organization > Reach & Engagement , and alongside Assignment completion on the Location tab.

→ See it in Reporting

đŸ–Œïž Better Images in the AI Course Builder

AI-built Courses now generate images from the course content, so default visuals match the material instead of pulling from a stock library.

đŸ€ How bartaco Gave Every Store an Owner for Training

At most brands, it’s assumed someone owns store-level training, but no one’s been told it’s their job. bartaco fixed that by having each location pick its own Change Champion: an existing team member who shares what's coming, holds everyone accountable, and keeps momentum going.

đŸŽ€ Office Hours: Validation: Audits, Checklists, and Check-Ins, Oh My!

Completion rates show who finished training, not whether the standard is happening in-store. In this Office Hours, we’ll cover how to validate with the right tool: Checklists, Audits, in-person Check-ins, and more.

📈 New: Opus Changelog

Most of what ships in Opus is small: a shortcut here, a fix there. Here are three extra improvements:

  • Your team can now collaborate on Opus Docs
  • Account History includes deactivated people, keeping training records intact after someone leaves.
  • Checklists and Audits started by mistake can now be discarded from the phone, so nothing lingers as unfinished work.
