Super Star Car Wash, one of the largest car wash operators in the Southwest, and the 12th largest in the US, is partnering with Opus Training to modernize frontline training and strengthen operational consistency across its growing footprint. Opus will provide the mobile-first training and operations infrastructure Super Star needs as it accelerates expansion across multiple states.

Super Star operates 115+ company-owned locations across Arizona, California, Colorado, and Texas. The company offers express and full-service car washes, FastPass memberships, detailing services, quick lube, convenience stores, and gasoline. As Super Star continues to scale in the coming years, it is utilizing Opus' training and operations platform to build a scalable foundation for onboarding, compliance and manager development.

Replacing Outdated Systems With Frontline-Native Infrastructure

Before partnering with Opus, Super Star relied on a legacy learning management system that delivered long, desktop-based modules and required four to five hours of training on an employee’s first day. The format limited hands-on learning and slowed ramp time. Without standardized training across roles, operational knowledge developed unevenly from location to location.

Rapid growth heightened the urgency. Leadership needed stronger visibility into compliance requirements, particularly in California, along with clearer accountability for manager coaching and skill validation across 115+ locations.

Super Star partnered with Opus because of its mobile-first design, bite-sized microlearning and AI-powered content creation tools — all built specifically for frontline teams.

“Opus stood out to us because it’s purpose-built for the frontline,” said Brad Gramlich, Chief Operating Officer of Super Star Car Wash. “Our teams don’t sit behind desks. They’re on their feet, serving customers and managing complex operations. We needed a platform that reflects that reality.

Opus is mobile-first, intuitive and simple to adopt across all of our locations. As we grow, it gives us the structure and consistency we need without slowing us down.”

Driving Consistency Through Microlearning, AI and Manager Accountability

During the trial period, Super Star’s training team used Opus’ AI module builder to create 29 safety quick checks in a single weekend, accelerating compliance readiness and standardizing safety training across locations.

Opus’ manager check-in feature was a key differentiator. The tool requires managers to validate an employee’s skills before certification, reinforcing digital learning with hands-on coaching and creating clear accountability at the store level.

Super Star is also deploying Ask Opus, the platform’s AI-powered knowledge assistant, to give employees instant access to SOPs in the flow of work. Integration with reporting tools such as Power BI will allow leadership to track training completion, certification progress and manager engagement alongside financial and operational metrics.

“Super Star is a business that understands growth requires more than new locations, it requires investment in the people who make those locations run every day,” said Rachael Nemeth, CEO and co-founder of Opus. “When training is clear, accessible and reinforced by managers, people gain confidence faster and teams operate more consistently.

We’re proud to support Super Star’s employees with tools that make knowledge accessible, strengthen coaching and help them do their best work.”

Positioned for Multi-State Expansion

With Opus in place, Super Star is establishing a centralized system for onboarding, compliance, manager development and operational rollouts. By embedding training into daily workflows and creating visibility across its workforce, the company is building the operational discipline required to scale consistently.
